VII The Merciful Love of Jesus Novena Day VI
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
Preparatory Prayer
My Jesus, my pain is great considering that I had the misfortune to offend so many times. You, however, with the heart of the Father, not only forgave me, but with your words: "ask you get," he calls to ask what I needed. Full of confidence, I resort to your merciful love, give me that reminder that in this novena, and above all the grace to reform my ways and henceforth to credit my faith with works by living according to your precepts, and burn in the fire of your love.
Meditation on the words of the Lord's Prayer: "Give us today our daily bread." Here ask the excellent bread that is the Blessed Sacrament, the ordinary food of our soul which is the grace of the sacraments and the inspiration of heaven. We also ask the food necessary to preserve the life of the body to get in moderation. Call "our", the Eucharistic bread, because it is ordained to our needs and our Redeemer because he gives himself to us in Communion. We say "daily" to demonstrate the dependence of the ordinary to have God in everything, body and soul, every hour and every moment. Saying "give us today" exercise an act of charity, asking for all men, without worry of tomorrow.
Question:
My Jesus, I turn to you in this trial. If you want to use your mercy this poor creature with you, your goodness triumphs. For your love and your mercy, forgive me my sins, and although it is not worthy of getting what you ask, fulfill my desires fully, if this is glory for you and good for my soul. Into thy hands I get back is' to me according to your liking.
(ask for the grace that we wish to obtain in this novena).
Prayer
:
Give me, O Jesus, thou source of life, to drink the living water that emanates from yourself, so, enjoy yourself, not thirst that you, annegami all into the abyss of your love and your mercy and Renew with your precious blood by which thou hast redeemed. Washing with the water in your most holy Chest all the stains with which contaminai the beautiful dress of innocence that you gave me in Baptism. Fill me, O Jesus, your Holy Spirit and make me pure of body and soul.
3 Pater, Ave, Gloria.
